At City of Refuge Community Church (CRCC), our faith is rooted in the Word of God, and we are committed to living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Here’s what we believe:
1. The Bible is the Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice, providing guidance for living a life that honors God and serves others.
2. God is Triune
We believe in one God, who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each of these persons is fully God, and together they are one, united in purpose, will, and essence.
3. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to earth to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again on the third day, conquering death and offering salvation to all who believe in Him. Through His death and resurrection, we are reconciled to God and given eternal life.
4. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn. It is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, that we are saved. Our good works are a response to God’s love, not a means to earn His favor.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the active presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live holy lives, equips us with spiritual gifts, and guides us in our daily walk with God.
6. The Church is the Body of Christ
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, and serve the world. As believers, we are called to be part of the local church, using our gifts and talents to build up the body and spread the message of the Gospel.
7. The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ will return one day to judge the living and the dead. We look forward to His return, when He will establish His eternal Kingdom and make all things new.
8. Love and Community
We believe in loving God and loving others. As a community of believers, we are called to support one another, build each other up, and serve our community with compassion and care. Our mission is to reflect the love of Christ in everything we do, both inside and outside the church.
